I have a bad habit of checking my phone through the night, so last night I checked my phone and noticed that I had gotten a mention on twitter. In my semi-conscious state I opened up the mention, but it didn’t make a whole lot of sense until ………………………………… this morning! I got a
feature mention from Lohi and that is a BIG darn deal to me!!! Sometime last year, I started playing with the idea of starting a blog, specifically a Cameroon/African food blog. I began trolling the internet, and I found Lohi’s blog. There were a couple others, but hers stood out to me. After trying a couple recipes from her, I finally decided to make the first step, and seven months later here we are!

There’s a lot more african food bloggers than I thought, and I am looking forward to reading all their posts. Thanks again to Lohi, for the feature. Greatly appreciated, even though it looks like my upgrade has been put on hold seeing that the A/C in my car gave out yet again this weekend. If you’ve been in Houston in the summer, you will cry for me. Driving home this afternoon was something. I had the windows down, and it literally felt like I was in a sauna. As of now, camera has been pushed down the list, and my auto has become numero uno. Despite feeling like I got toasted in the car, I made a quick, but extremely delicious meal tonight.
Those white bits you see used to whole tilapia filets, until my genius savant self decided to sautee them in a non-stick pan.
Don’t judge me. I have my moments, this would be one of them. Regardless of my error, it still tasted hella good, and took me only about 20-30 minutes to prepare.
The rate at which I go through fruits lately, I need a hookup in the country where I can buy straight from the farmer! Houston peeps, please holler!
Now that I am done with this post, I realise how much I have missed blogging. I will try not to be as sporadic with my posts anymore even though I have soooo much going on right now. To all those who dropped by while the spiders were holding fort out here, I am more than grateful. Thank you guys for keeping me going. As always, feel free to leave a comment, like the post and of course spread the word!!!
